About
Dr Juli Jolly
DPsych CPsychol MSc HCPC
I am an HCPC-registered chartered counselling psychologist with a focus on existential concerns. I hold the fundamental value that every human being should feel free to live as themselves, and this forms the basis for my therapeutic approach. I am devoted to understanding the specific experience of each client, drawing on existential philosophy, psychodynamic theory, and current scientific research in psychology. I am a member of the British Psychological Society and the Society for Existential Analysis.
I hold a doctorate in counselling psychology, and I have a total of ten years' academic experience and five years of clinical therapeutic experience in NHS, third-sector, and private settings. I am very well versed in the medical model of psychological distress and have taught courses on engaging critically with diagnosis. My doctoral thesis focused on borderline personality disorder and I have experience working with this presentation.
I am experienced in working with: anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, mild to moderate psychosis, complex trauma, borderline personality disorder, and existential issues.
Please contact me if you have any questions about whether my approach might be right for you.
